      Orginally I ordered the lamps for my living room, but once I saw them they were perfect for my bedroom. You can't clearly see the colors and it's even more gorgeous then I thought. Around the rim it lights up purple. A piece of art!

        I purchased 2 lamps and received them today. I placed them on my end tables in living room. Simple, yet elegant with a heavily-weighted base. They are beautiful with one minor exception. The scalloped edges on lamp shades are not red in color as described. They have a purple, pink and blue color to them. It is a truly beautiful lamp and I am still very pleased with them. I was just expecting a red granite glass trim as described. With the minor exception, I still give it 5 stars and would recommend it to a friend. I must add here, this does not in anyway detract from the lamp, or in my case, lamps. It is very classic and goes well with any decor due to its' simple, elegant design. I would purchase them again. They are very classy. In my experience, it is unusal to find both base and shade equally beautiful and this lamp has both a beautiful shade and base.
