In the early 1900s, Louis Comfort Tiffany developed a method for making his famous stained glass pieces that involved hand-cut glass and copper foil. Today, that same method is used to create the Tiffany Style Red Hanging Lamp. The careful work of artisans is apparent in this fixture, which has a brilliant hand-crafted stained glass shade in jewel tones of red and yellow. Each of the 176 pieces of glass is cut by hand, wrapped in copper, and then soldered together to create the classic Tiffany mosaic look. With a metal base consisting of three sturdy bars finished in bronze and a pull-chain switch, this fixture is ready to hang in any room it goes great in reading nooks and measures 18 diam. x 8H inches. Requires two 60-watt standard base bulbs (not included).
